We have been so busy spending time with special people and doing fun things lately,
that I haven’t had much of a chance to blog. One of the things that we had fun spending a couple of evenings doing, was playing out on Aunt Peggy’s boat (Vaughn’s sister).
We don’t tube or ski or go for rides on boats very often because, lets be honest, not many people want the, hmmm…how shall we put it…’experience’ of taking 12 people out on their boat (even not all at once!)! LOL!
The kids think that we should get a boat if we are going to be spending our summers on the lake, but that kind of goes against so much of why we rv… it’s just one more thing to have to take care of – and taking care of things sucks your life away…so, we say no boat. At least not right now. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to try to haul a boat around the country in addition to the little caravan we already have!
But, we sure did enjoy a couple of nights out on Aunt Peggy’s boat! She took the kids for fast rides,
and they jumped off and went swimming out in the middle of the lake (well, not quite middle…).
The second day, we picked Vaughn’s mom up, took a picnic lunch to a park, then brought her home. Peg’s kids (well, they are Uncle Lynn’s too, but he was off fishing…) and their families came out, and we all took boat/tube rides,
and we roasted hot dogs over the campfire.
It was a lot of fun!
And a perfect cap to two marvelous nights of family and fun.
Thanks for sharing your boat with us Aunt Peggy! 🙂
