our weekend in pictures…

Actually, I’m too tired to post, and the kids have most of the pics on their cameras up in Georgia (talked to them tonight; they’re good!)…so, this is a super-brief summary of our time at the Peace River Thousand Trails since we arrived on Friday.  We LOVE it here!!!

joined a caravan from the campground to a show at a local farm…peace river fl 021

gorgeous Peace River (complete with crocs alligators -thanks Joe ;) ) runs right next to the campground… peace river fl 115there is only one smallish pool, but most of the snowbirds don’t seem to mind sharing with us :)    peace river fl 14140 pounds of u-pick strawberries at $1/lb!  Since it was over 80 degrees, we were done, hot and tired, before we hit our #50 goal…  strwbrys 026

Thinking that our 10 days here are not going to be enough!  Tomorrow, the kids and I are off on a roadschool trip! …well, as long as we get up early enough - can’t find an alarm clock.  wait, do I even OWN an alarm clock???  Vaughn always takes care of that dirty work for me!!!  :P

Love your blog and look forward to reading it daily. The Peace river does NOT have crocs, unless you are talking about footwear. North of Naples Florida, they are all alligators.

Glad you are enjoying my home state.

      LOL! Thanks Joe!
I’m sure I MEANT crocs ;) I’m afraid that they are nearly one and the same to me – big mouths with lots of teeth lurking in the depths to snatch one of my little croc-baits while they wade!!! :) I’ve decided that I will never be able to keep the 2 straight…

I don’t have an alarm clock either. lol My hubby is the one that does all that too. :)

BTW I am stopping by to award you the Liebster blog award. You can check out all the details here at my blog: http://diannaauton.com/2013/02/i-got-an-award/

We live south of Atlanta about 25 miles and were right eternal pockets of storms so we had minimal weather here. I’m looking forward to hearing what your boys are doing-I’m wondering if they are in some of the cleanup efforts…one place you have to check out in Columbus GA (if you go that way again) is the national infantry museum. It’s right on the edge of Ft Benning and donation only. It’s amazing and with your family’s love of weapons and such it is totally worth it! It’s smithsonian quality! Enjoy sunny Florida!
